Amadeus Pro is a multi-track editor available for the Mac, and is also accessible with Voice Over. It is much easier to use than Garage Band that does come included on most Macs with the iLife suite of applications. It unfortunately is not a free program, but $40 is much less than the $400 that Adobe Audition costs on Windows. Now, does it have all of the functionality that Adobe Audition would have? No, but I bet it would do everything that 99% of the people do on a sound editor.
